The Future of World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft is a landmark game and has been a sensation in its first year of release. As it proceeds through its second year, it is likely to continue its success and see its fan base become even greater. The game world of Azeroth is also set to grow, as a new game expansion is coming to enhance the World of Warcraft experience. World of Warcraft’s challenge in 2006 will involve maintaining its success. When the game first came out, it wasn’t clear how it would perform. Blizzard Entertainment were confident in the game and had great hopes for it, but the gaming world was uncertain, wondering how well the traditional Warcraft elements would fit with an interactive online world. It actually worked brilliantly, and so the game took off. Now the question is whether this is sustainable. It is extremely likely. By this point, it is clear that World of Warcraft is not simply a passing craze but rather a title with serious, long-lasting appeal. The game saw huge international growth in 2005 and in the early weeks of 2006 has already reached 5. 5 million subscribers worldwide. The game has built up major momentum and it does not feel like it has peaked. Its sales are in great health, and more and more people are becoming interested in it. World of Warcraft should see its subscriber base grow even further. It is impossible to predict the future, but it is plausible that it could reach a figure of 6 to 7 million subscribers in the course of the new year. It is important to consider that a number of countries received the game later than America, so there is much potential for growth, as in global terms it is a relatively new game. It was only in November 2005 that it launched in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, so to those markets it is still a fresh title. The most crucial development for World of Warcraft in 2006 is the upcoming expansion, The Burning Crusade. This title will incorporate elements from a previous game, Warcraft 3, by including the former villains, the Burning Legion. It will add a new playable race to both the Alliance and the Horde, with the race of Blood Elves confirmed as joining the Horde. It is set to raise the game’s level cap to 70 and open up the area of the Outlands. The planned content and features look very promising. It is interesting to consider how the World of Warcraft expansion will be received. It should satisfy people, as it will offer growth and variety to the whole experience. It will be fascinating to see what new race is joining the Alliance, and it will be intriguing and different for the Horde to have their own ""pretty"" race in the form of the Blood Elves. In general, the expansion is a good thing and will give the game more depth. It should make the game more appealing to players. World of Warcraft will also see its influence grow in 2006. 免费网络游戏 Its success has inspired the game industry to develop similar titles and explore where the role-playing genre can go. There are games in development that intend to follow Warcraft’s lead. The title ""Borderlands"" from Red Mushroom is one such example. 最新免费网络游戏 This massively multi-player online role-playing game aims to refine its genre even further, by making the game play more competitive and ruthless. It will be interesting to see how it performs. World of Warcraft has a lot to look forward to in its second year. 最新网游 The subscriber base for the game should grow, as it is now a genuine mainstream success. Dwarf And World of WarCraft

There are many races in the World of Warcraft. Alliance and Horde are two fractions of ten different races. Race determines the character's appearance, starting location, and initial skill set, called ""racial traits"". Dwarf race is consists in Alliance. There are many more races in Alliance like Humans, Night Elves, Gnomes and Draenei. Orcs, Tauren, Undead, Trolls and Blood Elves are consists in Horde. Draenei and Blood Elf characters were introduced in The Burning Crusade, and require that expansion in order to be created. There are two types of characters in the game- Player Characters (PCs, or simply ""characters"") and Non-Player Characters (NPCs). In addition to the ten playable races there are many NPC races including (but not limited to) Goblins, Ogres, Murlocs, and Naga. The dwarves start in Coldridge Valley, an area of Dun Morogh closed off by mountains. Their capital city is Ironforge. Ironforge dwarves are stout and powerful, with short muscular bodies. Male dwarves tend to have long hair, and beards or facial hair often tied in ornate braids. Female dwarves also have sturdy muscular frames, but they are buxom and lack facial hair, despite the claims of some of the less educated sages of other races. The average dwarf stands between 4 feet and 5 feet in height and weighs between 140 to 160 pounds. They speak Common and Dwarvish. The dwarves of Ironforge are a proud, stern and determined people with streaks of kindness hidden under the gruff exteriors of their sturdy frames. Their love for battle, invention and exploration impels them ever forward to discover and unearth the mysteries of their heritage, educating them further about those who first created the dwarven race. King of Ironforge is the Magni Bronzebeard. Muradin Bronzebeard is a younger brother of Magni, founding member of the Explorer's League. Brann Bronzebeard is youngest Bronzebeard brother, explorer. Princess of Ironforge, captive of the Dark Iron Empire is Moira Bronzebeard. Madoran Bronzebeard King of Ironforge during War of the Three Hammers. Father of Magni, Muradin, and Brann. Baelgun Flamebeard is Watcher of Doorward. Former second of Muradin's expedition. Leader of the Stormpike Expedition in Alterac Valleyn is Vanndar Stormpike. The dwarves of Ironforge are an ancient race of robust humanoids that live beneath the snow-capped mountains of Khaz Modan. The dwarves have always been fast allies to the humans and they revel in the prospects of battle and storytelling alike. In past ages, the dwarves rarely left the safety of their mountain fortresses. However, when the call to battle sounded they rose up to defend their friends and allies with unmatched courage and valor. While the dwarves of Ironforge appreciate the fighting skill of the Horde, it is with grim eyes that they look upon the orcs and their allies, the trolls and the Forsaken. Although the dwarves have held dealings of commerce and diplomacy with the high elves, they keep the people of Quel’Thalas at an arm’s distance. While the night elves may share the same allegiances, the dwarves look upon them with suspicion and some trepidation. 魔兽 Humans, however, are the staunch and constant allies of the dwarven people and find welcome, favor and kindness when in dwarven lands. The stoic dwarves of Ironforge spent countless generations mining treasures from deep within the earth. Secure in their impregnable stronghold of Ironforge Mountain, the dwarves rarely ventured beyond the wintry peaks of Dun Morogh. 网络游戏 Even so, when the orcs invaded Azeroth and set out to conquer the human, elven, and dwarven lands, the dwarves offered to join the Grand Alliance. The resilient and ingenious dwarves proved to be the backbone of the Alliance forces and helped usher in victory after victory. The Titans created the earthen to help shape the world of Azeroth after they were gone. 网游 When the Well of Eternity imploded, causing the Sundering, the earthen were deeply affected, feeling the pain of the earth as if it were their own. They retreated to the places of their origin - the Titan cities of Uldum, Uldaman, and Ulduar - and hibernated for almost eight thousand years. When they awoke, they found that their powers over stone and earth had waned and their rocky hide had softened to smooth skin. 游戏 Those who had awoke from Uldaman migrated to the snowy mountains of Dun Morogh and built the city of Ironforge. The dwarves of Ironforge were divided into three factions- The Ironforge Clan (Bronzebeard Clan) who controlled the city, the Wildhammer Clan who controlled the foothills the mountain, and the Dark Iron Clan who lived in the shadows of the mountain.

Hotfix roundup for Sunday March 30

"Drysc is keeping a post up-to-date of all the latest hotfixes that are happening. Patch 2.4 went live without too much trouble this last Tuesday, yet there is a slow but steady stream of issues popping up in the game. Each morning for the next few days we'll let you know about all the hotfixes that have come out the previous day. You can also check out all of the hotfixes for Patch 2.4. Yesterday's hotfixes include: Reliquary of Souls, Prince Kael'thas, and other bosses now properly cast their spells The time before players with flags in Warsong Gulch receive the Focused Assault and Brutal Assault debuffs has been reduced The timer for Focused Assault and Brutal Assault in Warsong Gulch will now reset whenever both Flags are returned to their bases Of course, if something major comes up, expect to see it covered right away on WoW Insider. wow powerleveling Enjoy your patch 2.4 fun! I've noticed that too, on my Warlock when I'm casting whatnot and Nightfall(Shadow Trance) buffs, he just stands still. You used to be able to trigger this by turning off/on walk/run toggle, but then they fixed it. Now its triggered by buffs or different activites. weird " "The efforts to retake the Isle of Quel'Danas proceed apace. wow honor Some realms are going faster than others, but Drysc assures us that even the low-population realms will get the phases auto-completed for them eventually if they don't have the manpower to get there fast enough on their own. What if you want to see exactly how the realms stack up. We talked last week about a manually maintained forum post; however, that has problems with trustworthiness and the difficulty of keeping it updated. Edur, of Gorgonnash-A (EU), has created a web site that relies on game data form participants to rank the realms according to their completion of the Sunwell questline, and a very nice site it is.
You can see all the US and European realms and where they stand both on the main phase quests and on the side accomplishments, like constructing the portal from Shattrath to Quel'Danas. cheap wow gold There are also nice progress charts for each individual realm, and, most usefully, ETAs for when the objectives might be reached given current rates of completion. Currently leading the pack is Proudmore (US), with 44% completion of phase two and 75% completion of the portal. My own realm has jumped up from about 40 to 25 in the past few hours -- go Shadow Council! Five US realms are show as still languishing in phase one, although Nordrassil was at 98% as of the last update a few hours ago, and has likely moved on to phase two by now. On the European side of things, the German realms are in front, headed by Gilneas at 30% through phase two and 55% complete with the portal. Since they're a day behind (they receive patches on Wednesdays, whereas the US gets them on Tuesdays), it's not surprising to see them a bit less progressed. If you want to help out, download the AddOn from the site, and then be sure to upload your data file for analysis. wow honor And if want to use this data for some nifty site or service, the site's author has helpfully made XML feeds available under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license. Well done, sir. " .

Breakfast Topic: Adamantite and Mana Thistle on Azeroth?

"Mana Thistle grows in Outland. Some of the mines of Outland contain Adamantite Ore. So how do plants and ore that are native to a completely different planet occur on the Isle of Quel'Danas. I understand that it is a level 70 zone and therefore they put level 70 gathering nodes there. But story-wise it makes no sense. The Lore of WoW is rich and entertaining and is one of the best parts of playing this game. Inconsistencies like this mar the immersion of what is otherwise a very fun new zone. Lasica responded to Battery's question about this on the forums with a suggestion that they fell out of the Exodar as it passed overhead. This could easily explain the Mana Thistle, if it took to the fertile soil on the Isle, but metals don't grow like plants, so this explanation can't really be stretched to the Adamantite. Do you have an explanation to satisfy the lore-nerds like me. Or are you just happy to have another place to farm. wow powerleveling It was also noted that Adamantite has existed on Azeroth before, but it was extremely rare and barely anyone knew how to mine or forge it properly: ""Neltharion's betrayal had struck a great blow to the Aspects, and their fear to be destroyed like the blue dragonflight kept them in seclusion. Deathwing returned to his lair beneath a mountain. His proximity to the Demon Soul was ripping his body apart, so the Goblins forged an armor of adamantium to serve as a vessel to contain Deathwing's raging powers in check. Only the adamantium plates kept the power from destroying his body"" " "Hi guys, almost all my blacksmithing plans (or BS as I lovingly call it) are now yellow and green and for the most part gray). wow honor Where can I get some good plans to help me increase my skills.
I am currently a 280 blacksmith and a 368 miner (I put BS on hold while I strove for my epic horse, which I still don't got by the way!) Thanks ahead of time. Timotheus Aside from buying plans off of the AH, any othe rplans for BS, and and other profession for that matter have to be gotten either from mobs (world drops, instance/instance boss drops) quests and from reputation with certain factions. Best thing to do is use a site like Wowdigger here, and look up the BS profession and the plans list, then note what you don't have and work on getting them either by farming those mobs, or earning rep with the factions you need to. What lvl are you. If you can farm ores in outlands you can get fel iron/adamnite recipes from a vendor. cheap wow gold Cant recall which one. Also that trainer in booty bay has some you can get late in the lving process. Besides that the Tanaris thorium recipes as mentioned. wow honor but if thats not getting you exp pts youll just have to look at ah I guess. Also check out the Thorium Brotherhood quests. Getting honored with them and above will get you plans from a guy in BRD. Also gtting honored and revered with Argent dawn will get you plans from a guy at Chillwind Camp in West Plaguelands." .
